Korea Taught Masters Scholarships For Europe-Korea Foundation Students
The EKF Scholarship Programme for South Korean students – awarded for the first time in 2003 to 11 students – was established to promote Europe as an academic centre. With the Scholarship Programme EKF wants to support South Korean students with excellent academic records who wish to study in Europe. In 2004 EKF also established a Scholarship Programme for North Korean students through which North Korean students and experts will be sent to Europe to study various fields such as economics, business, international law, etc., from an international perspective. 5 x 20% Tuition Fee Scholarships are available for Europe-Korea Foundation sponsored students registering on Taught Masters programmes at The University of Nottingham in September 2008 – any subject area (excluding MBA). Applications for these scholarships should be made through the Europe-Korea Foundation and
in order to apply you must
- be holding a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a full time Taught Masters degree programme at the University of Nottingham from September 2008
- be under 30 years of age at the start of the academic programme
- be classified as an ‘overseas’ student for fee purposes
- submit your application to the Europe-Korea Foundation by 30 May 2008
- if you have not received an academic offer by the scholarship deadline you may send a copy of the university offer letter to the Europe-Korea Foundation after the deadline has passed, but before the scholarship decision date

- interviews will be conducted in Korea with all students that have correctly filled in the application form and included all necessary documents (except the offer letter, which can be handed in later)
- decisions will be made by the Europe-Korea Foundation on whom to sponsor in June/July and all applicants will be informed of the decision. There will be a Scholarship Ceremony in August
